The Great Trail is being touted as one of the longest in the world. Once 432 individual trails are attached in late 2017, it will measure 24,000 kilometres. The serpentine routes – created by the Trans Canada Trail (TCT), a not-for-profit organization – will meet all three Canadian coasts and weave their way through vast interior landscapes and past more than 15,000 communities.
