I’ve been away from here for too long – on a journey of a different sort. On May 5, after some tough months of health issues, my Mom passed away at age 93.

What I had hoped would be a busy Spring/Summer marking Canada-150, Montreal’s 375th anniversary, the 100th Anniversary of the NHL and 50 years since Expo ’67 and that wonderful summer of ’67 instead has turned into a time preoccupied with the personal past and today’s emotions – a time of reflection and grieving.

These online journeys paid the price for my personal detour.

These broadcasts, podcasts, blog entries and online postings have been a passion. I have posted when there was something worth posting – not for the sake of solely producing numbers.

Unfortunately, over the past weeks and months my heart has been heavy – in fact, broken.

My apologies for not having been here for these celebrations. they looked like fun events.

Now that I am resurfacing after the big public parties, perhaps we can connect in a more relaxed and reflective manner – much like folks who linger after most of the guests ahve left a party.

So, again apologies for the absence. I am slowly resurfacing after a tough stretch. But it’s nice to see you again. I’m looking forward to catching up with you and journeying again.

It’s good to be able to look forward again and journey with you.
