Remember this ?

It is the 1960’s vintage scoreboard from the old Boston Garden (Day Industries – the company that produced mid-60’s scoreboards for the Montreal Forum and Maple Leaf Gardens).

It now now hangs from the ceiling of the food court at the Arsenal Mall in suburban Boston (Watertown).

In its time it counted down for the Bruins two Stanley Cups in the 1970’s (Bobby Orr goal- 1970; technically the Bruins won their ’72 cup at MSG). It also counted the time and the score for the Celtics.

It remained above the Garden until the place was demolished in the 1990’s.

But the scoreboard found a new home and survives.
