“Helping You Be Contemporary in Traditional Way” is a tagline we have developed to describe what we do.

It took some thought to get there.

I had found that some had thought of our “Journeys Into” explorations of the offbeat, off the beaten path, overlooked and forgotten” as just another look at nostalgia (A sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations) or things old-fashioned (in or according to styles or types no longer current or common; not modern).

There is some of that. But there is a whole lot more, and that more was not being seen by those and others.

So, I wanted to highlight my embrace of the past as foundational for the present and future. This past provides an insight and context that allows us an understanding and equips us to build a meaningful and productive future. In this way, We are not merely and blindly stepping forward.

I would like to think that we are “Old school” suggesting “a high regard for something that has been shown to have lasting value or quality”.

Old-school, not old-fashioned.
