I often wonder about what I would say to my Dad who died in 1997 if he were to reappear in this world of 2015.

So much has happened. So much has changed.

And, add this one to the list.

There is a new craft beer, called Toaster Pastry, is an India Red Ale that pays homage to the California brewery’s former identity: a Kellogg factory that manufactured Frosted Flakes and Pop-Tarts, Fortune reports.

The beer, which will be released on August 29 and available in 19.2 oz cans, clocks in at a hefty 7.6% alcohol by volume.

Beer for breakfast is a traditions in some quarters – so are flavored beers. But Pop Tart beer ? Don’t know how I would explain that one to Dad (raised on Miller, Molson and Heineken).

BTW, that Fortune article also describes some other breakfast brews.
