Bobby Orr always earned superlatives as a hockey player. As a fan the Montreal Canadiens I favored a different #4, but begrudgingly came to respect Boston’s Orr.

By a clear margin he was the best I ever saw play the game.

However, my respect for Bobby Orr the player has turned to unbridled admiration for Bobby Orr the man.
