Their Jets may have lost the game (and the series 0-4), but it sure was a night that will be remembered – and not just in Winnipeg.

Winnipegers celebrated the return of playoff hockey for the first time in 19 years, and the rest of the world noticed.

It was an impressive site and an inspirational lesson in perseverance and forgiveness.

If only the Jets could have held on.

Even with broken hearts on the third game that got away from them, fans should be happy and proud of their team, their town and themselves.
